The Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka – New Zealand Chapter (IESL NZ Chapter) is the official overseas branch of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL), dedicated to uniting and supporting Sri Lankan-origin engineers living in New Zealand. Established on January 31, 2015, the Chapter provides a forum for professional engineers and other interested parties to explore the field of engineering in New Zealand .
As a registered incorporated society under New Zealand law, the IESL NZ Chapter upholds the values of professional excellence, ethical conduct, and community engagement. It serves as a vibrant platform for professional networking, continuing development, and knowledge-sharing within the engineering community. The Chapter facilitates collaboration between Sri Lankan and New Zealand engineers while promoting the advancement of engineering science and practice in both countries.
Our diverse membership includes professionals, students, and academics from across New Zealand’s engineering sector. We actively organize technical events, CPD workshops, social gatherings, and recognition programs to foster both professional growth and cultural connection.
